kinds of verbs

Action verbs - tell the action of a subject in a sentence
linking verbs - connects the subject to a noun pronoun or adjective.
Helping verb - help the main verb describe the action.
Transitive verb - a verb for which the action is named in the sentence.
Intransitive verb - a verb for which the action is not named in the sentence.
Regular verbs - verbs in which the formation of the past and past participle follow a predictable pattern.
Irregular verbs - verbs in which the formation of the past and past participle do not follow a predictable pattern.
